Over the past two days, our research alliance news-polygraph came together for our Project Days 2025 โ two focused and energising days dedicated to our shared mission: equipping journalists and news organisations with the tools they need to combat disinformation.
Hosted by transfermedia at the Medieninnovationszentrum Babelsberg (MIZ), all nine partners from science, media, and tech met in person to share interim results and align on strategic next steps. With a consortium of this scale and diversity, these moments of personal exchange are invaluable โ to explore ideas, ask tough questions, and sharpen our collective approach.
Among the highlights: our Business Model Canvas Workshop, where we explored opportunities for collaboration beyond the scope of our research project. We also took a deep-dive into AI explainability and interpretability โ essential for developing transparent, reliable tools that can genuinely support journalistic work.
A big thank you to our brilliant workshop coaches Konstanze Neumann and Veronika Solopova, to alliance coordinator Felix Briegel and R&D coordinator Patrick Aichroth for the in-depth preparation โย and of course to every partner contributor from Deutsche Welle, Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg, Fraunhofer IDMT, Technische Universitรคt Berlin, Deutsches Forschungszentrum fรผr Kรผnstliche Intelligenz (DFKI), Ubermetrics Technologies GmbH, Crowdee, Intapp, and transfermedia for your ideas, energy and commitment!
Weโre proud to be working together to effectively combat disinformation and strengthen trust in media.
