Advancing Multimodal Disinformation Detection

As Germany’s largest research initiative focused on addressing multimodal misinformation and disinformation, news-polygraph tackles one of today’s most pressing challenges. By integrating state-of-the-art deep learning methods with a strong emphasis on explainability and transparency, the platform empowers users to identify and understand false and misleading content.

In collaboration with Tim Polzehl and his team from the DFKI, as well as other partners, the XplaiNLP Group at TU Berlin is developing innovative solutions to enhance multimodal disinformation detection.

Insights from the Summit

The summit provided an opportunity for valuable discussions with leading experts, including Richard Socher from You.com, Jack Thoms from BIFOLD – Berlin Institute for the Foundations of Learning and Data, Matthias Bethge from the Tübingen AI Center, and Susanne C. from Technische Universität Berlin, among others.

Engaging with the research community at this event was an enriching experience, and news-polygraph looks forward to participating again next year to continue driving advancements in disinformation detection.
